Privacy policy
Connect is a real-time party word game: one player (the Danner) is given a secret word revealed one letter at a time, while everyone else races to guess it through a chain of text hints readable by teammates but not by the Danner. This policy covers what we collect while you play.
01 Information we collect
Account & profile. An email or anonymous sign-in, plus whatever display name you set.
Match data. The matches and rounds you join, the secret word revealed to your device when you're the Danner, the hints and guesses submitted in your match, and the resulting score events — this is what makes live scoring and turn order work, and is visible to the other players in your match in real time.
Device & diagnostic data. App version, rough device type, and crash logs, used only to keep the app working. The app requests audio-related device permissions to support in-game sound effects and background audio; Connect's hints and guesses are fully text-based and no microphone recording is made or transmitted.
02 How we use it
- Run live matches — lobbies, rounds, secrets, guesses, and scoreboards.
- Show your name and guesses to the other players in your current match.
- Diagnose crashes and improve matchmaking reliability.
We don't use your match history for advertising, and we don't sell your data.
03 Where it's stored
Connect runs on Supabase (hosted Postgres, Auth, and Realtime), with row-level security scoping each player to the matches they're actually part of. Data is encrypted in transit.
04 Your choices
- Play as an anonymous guest instead of creating an email account.
- Request an export or deletion of your data at any time — see contact below.
05 Children's privacy
Connect is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
06 This website
This website (not the app) measures how visitors use devindi.in: pages viewed, the site that linked you here, clicks, how far you scroll, time on each page, and your device type, browser, language and time zone. Some visits are saved as an anonymous replay of scrolling, mouse movement and clicks; anything typed into a form is hidden before it is saved. A random ID is kept in your browser to tell visits apart. We don't store your IP address, don't use advertising trackers, and never sell or share this data; it stays in our own database (hosted by Supabase). If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, none of this runs.
07 Changes to this policy
If this policy changes meaningfully, we'll update the date above and, where required, notify you in-app.
